Sustainable Cities Collective features Multileveled Vertical Urban Allotments project

I felt very honored when I found out about an article writen by Kaid Benfield was featured on the Sustainable Cities Collective website on the 21st of February 2012.

Kaid Benfield is director of Sustainable Cities Communities and NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) where the same article about my project was also featured.

Kaid Benfield was voted one of the “top 100 urban thinkers” in an online poll hosted by the planning site Planetizen.com and named one of “the most influential people in sustainable planning and development” in 2010 by the Partnership for Sustainable Communities.

Kaid Benfield says:

‘Aspiring interior designer Lucie Sadakova has come up with a striking concept to bring more green space and nourishment into a scruffy part of London.  And, despite being in a sense all about an outdoor activity, it is in fact an interior transformation, a proposed adaptive reuse of an old building way past its prime.’

You can see the article here. ‘Transforming a derelict buildings into vertical gardens’.
