Kirstie Allsop’s Fill Your House For FREE!
One of my favourite TV programme has to be Kirstie Allsopp’s series ‘Kirstie’s Homemade home’, ‘Kirstie’s Vintage Home’ and at last the most recent ‘Kirstie’s Fill Your House For Free’ !!!
‘Kirstie’s Fill Your House For Free’ promotes upcycling of furniture and is all about ‘Loving Free’ rather than ‘Free Love, as Kirstie Allsopp says in each episode. There were in total 4 episodes in the Series 1 which was aired in Summer 2013 and I can’t wait to be watching Series 2 of the ‘Kirstie’s Fill Your House For Free’.
It is truly amazing what beautiful furniture can be found and used again ! Kirstie’s advice is to look through umber of online resources such as Freecycle community – freecycle.org, gumtree.com, ilovefreegle.org….which is exactly what I did and it didn’t take me long to found a coffee table on gumtree !!! I must admit the piece wasn’t for FREE but for a BARGAIN PRICE of £20! This piece only proves the secondhand is definetly not second best.
